The typical Hawaii flower chains have always been considered a symbol of peace and a positive attitude towards life. Rhodium plated means that these great Hawaii flower earrings have been coated with a layer of rhodium. This is done to protect the 925 sterling silver from tarnishing. In short, rhodium plated silver jewelry does not oxidize and therefore does not turn black :)
