Probably the best-known pterosaur is the Pteranodon. But why does it have such an unpronounceable name? Well, like many of its conspecifics, it got its name from the Greeks. In Greek, pteranodon means "toothless wing". It probably fed exclusively on fish, and if they are small enough, you don't need teeth for that.
