Because 925 sterling silver is nickel-free and free of harmful heavy metals. Unfortunately, this does not always apply to jewelry, although it should be so and is even required by law. The silver is additionally rhodium-plated. This means that we have coated the silver with a layer of rhodium. Rhodium is a precious metal of the platinum family and therefore even more valuable than the silver itself. Most importantly, it protects the silver from oxidation.
