Description

It's beautiful and I want it! It's just... What is it?

The World Ash, which is called Yggdrasil according to Icelandic tradition, is the largest and best of all trees according to the myths of paganism. According to the legend, the branches of Yggdrasil stretched all over the world and reached as far as the sky. And under the roots of the world ash tree lay the source of wisdom and understanding. In the branches of the world ash tree Yggdrasil there sat a wise eagle and at the foot of the world tree there were deer that nourished from its buds, just as there were countless snakes in its roots that gnawed at them. But three girls, the Norns, took care of Yggdrasil and made sure that its branches neither dried out nor rotted.

It is wonderful to be able to create a silver monument to such a legendary World Tree. We have tried to bring Yggdrasil with all its details to life. The dotted artwork with which the antlers of the deer and the leaves of Yggdrasil are fused together is meant to show the interweaving of all the figures. Just as the beautiful plumage of the eagle merges seamlessly into the treetop of the World Ash.

Of course the entire Yggdrasil pendant is made of genuine 925 Sterling Silver. We have oxidized the background, so that the beautiful silver elements in the foreground are perfectly shown to advantage. We have worked out two different versions for you. One is a completely silver version and the other is a version in which the individual actors, Yggdrasil, the deer and the eagle are covered with real yellow gold.

Both versions of our Yggdrasil silver pendant have become really beautiful, so we are very proud to present this addition to our World Tree collection and hope that you like our Yggdrasil silver pendant as much as we do :)
