Marcasite-studded brooch with large round gemstone

Brooches are wonderful companions. Brooches adorn every scarf, every coat, every blouse. And are therefore perfect to wear in summer as well as in winter, when every other piece of jewelry is covered by all the many items of clothing :)

This is a beautiful handmade brooch made from genuine 925/- sterling silver. The brooch is set with a variety of small marcasite stones and a large smooth cut gemstone in the center. You can choose whether your heart beats for the black onyx stone or the red-brown agate as the highlight stone in the center.

The silver is blackened (what we would normally call "tarnished") and has therefore been deliberately made darker. So in this case, no one needs to worry that the silver will tarnish over time - it's intentional :)

Please note the small details, such as the little marcasite flowers that thread their way around the onyx stone. Each one is unique, just as each gemstone is unique in its own right.

So there really are people in this world (us!) who go to the trouble of carefully setting each individual stone on this treasure and creating a small work of brooch art in the end. How wonderful I think it is that these people exist :)
